To jumpstart my entries, I’m starting with a post about our first Singapore trip. Ji and I were supposed to go first quarter 2009, but we somehow messed up our schedule =^_^=. We did make the trip in the end but there’s a lot more you need to know about this as my family and some relatives came with us (dom, dom, dom!)
Who else is coming…?
This trip was actually arranged by my sister, TC, for the family which included my brother, Ken, my mom, and me. Uncle Steve and Aunt Vivian happen to be celebrating their anniversary and brought along their daughters: the first of their kids, Rachel and their third, Sabrina. Ji joined in since she badly wanted that the two of us go to Singapore (for the first time) together. I can almost hear the girls going “ain’t that sweet?”, but with everyone having their own agenda on this trip I cringe as I recall one of the laws I respect the most – Murphy’s Law.
The Making of the Itinerary List
There were two things I wanted to accomplish while in Singapore, namely, to meet up with some close friends who are based there and to satiate my otaku hunger with collector toys from Chinatown. I asked Ji to come up with an itinerary, taking into consideration those two objectives I mentioned. Below is the final itinerary we agreed upon:
That Settles It…
We were running close to the departure date and I couldn't get any approval or feedback from TC, thus getting into an argument with her over the itinerary. (Sorry Sis :( just needed that to be done). Eventually, we decided to stick to the one that Ji prepared, but still open to the idea that there may be times when we have to remove items with lesser priorities (just in case we also became too tired from all the walking we expected hehe). We provided everyone included in the trip with the details of the plan. This way everyone can also make plans if anyone wanted to go solo.
That takes care of the boring part (whew!). The trip is scheduled on July 24 -27, 2009 (refer to the itinerary list for details), we're taking Cebu Pacific on a promo so that's major savings for us. In the following entries, I will refer to the list as I make comparison to the actual sequence of events. Expect fun, groans from me and lots of pictures from this trip!
